The Branches Of The American Government System - 960 Words

There are three branches in the American Government system and they are the Executive Branch, Legislative Branch, and Judicial Branch. These three branches were developed by our founding fathers to help and develop our country to what it is today. Each of these branches, balances and checks out its powers and control, and are all given multiple responsibilities and task to fulfil the constitutional rights and amendments of our country for the people and so that one branch is not more dominant than the other. The Executive Branch is led by the United States President, who can enforce laws and has a cabinet of different government agencies and departments such as the CIA that keeps our country safe. The Legislative Branch also known as Congress: the Senate and State Of Representatives can create and change laws, have power over taxes and money, impeach officials, declare wars, overrides veto’s, and many more. The Judicial Branch deals with the criminal and civil courts for the citizens of the US that addresses the US Constitution and laws passed by Congress. It is considered to be a back bone to the Executive Branch and Legislative Branch. Under the Judicial Branch there is the Supreme Court that has members such as a Chief Justice of the United States that is the head of the United States Federal Court System and a Chief Judge.
